D E L 0 N A (also known as Delona Bean) is a multidisciplinary artist with a soft spot for big ideas, bold stories, and the kind of art that makes people feel something deep in their bones. Based in Hampton Roads, VA, she sings, writes, builds, riffs, rhymes — and does it all with heart.
Before stepping into the spotlight, she sharpened her skills (and a few power tools) in the U.S. Air Force, where she developed a strong foundation in carpentry that later helped bring theatrical worlds to life in shows like Arsenic and Old Lace, Dracula, and Little Shop of Horrors at Virginia Stage Company. Once upon a time, she even ran a custom cake business, turning sugar into sculpture — proof that her creativity has always found a way to rise.
She’s performed in immersive productions with ROUGE including Posses$ion, Rosie the Riveter, Pride & Prejudice & Dragons, and Romeo and Juliet, often weaving together song, storytelling, and soul. Musical improv training at Push Comedy Theatre and her background in poetry allow her to follow the moment — and make magic out of it.
With each project, D E L 0 N A reclaims a piece of herself and lays it gently on the table, inviting others to do the same. This site is her gallery of becoming — part scrapbook, part altar, part open mic. If something here resonates, stay a while. That’s what it’s for.
